We’re Back!

Hi everyone! We arrived back in Beijing last night at 7:00 p.m. local time. We went to friends for fresh dumplings and stayed there until about 10:00. Then we went to our apartment and yes, the key still fit which was a relief. We opened our luggage and did a bit of putting away and went to bed at 12:00 midnight. We then got up at 4:00 a.m. finished unpacking, rearranged the apartment and went back to bed for a nap around 7:00. It’s now 10:15 a.m. and we’re going grocery shopping. We will be posting some pictures of our winter holiday in Canada later, and hope you will continue to follow our adventures in China.

Just a few bags for our trip!

I was so glad to hear that you made it back safe and sound. Still seems like a dream to me, that you are actually living and working in China. WOW! Dave and I leave for a week to Cuba next Wednesday, March 3rd. We can’t wait. Also we have a trip planned to England in April, as Dave’s nephew is getting married on May 2nd. We are planning a week in Greece at the same time, so it all very exciting trips planned for us this year.

I think I probably told you that Krysta is pregnant again and due in July. She is having another girl, and is trying to think of names at the moment. Mila will be 2 in June, and she is so much like Krysta was as a child, that it is scary. She is a drama queen, and has her mind set on what she wants to do, and don’t try and alter what she wants to do, or their will be shreaks (and ear-damaging NO’s). She is so cute and I have such a great time with her.

Luke will be two in July and is also so much like his Dad was at his age. Just a lovable, cute kid, who seems to have more bruises than a boxer, and it doesn’t phase him at all. He bangs into something or falls down, laughs and goes on his way. When Mila hits off something with her dress, she yells “HURT HURT HURT”, realizes that she is really hurt, but pouts the lip and looks for a hug to make it “all better”.

Look forward to hearing more of your adventures for the second tour of duty in beautiful Beijing.

Love, and best wishes to you both.

    Hi Judy,

It’s always great to hear from you. It sounds like you have some wonderful trips planned this year and I’m sure they will be exciting. Maybe you could start blogging too about your adventures!

I can’t believe that Mila and Luke will soon be two. I would love to see recent pictures and I’m sure you have lots. LOL

    Love,
    Babs (Kathy)

I certainly do have lots of photos of the grand-kids. They are a joy at this age. We wanted to be called Gran and Grand-dad. Neither one of them can say that yet. Luke is taking to calling Dave “DAVID”, as he hears me calling him that, and now they both refer to him as DAVID. Mila calls me “NINNY”, I don’t really mind what they call me….

I have given Mikki your blog address and hopefully if she thinks there is an opportunity for her to meet up with you, or even send a message to you, then she will. She leave on March 6th, not sure when the Tour takes them to Beijing, but she will let you know, I am sure.

Say hello to Paul for me.

    Judy Rudy.
