<description>I just read all the updates on your whirlwind trip in and around Beijing. It all sounds very exciting.

We are back from our trip to Cuba. On our third day in Cuba, Dave got sick with food poisoning or some other &quot;travelling illness&quot;, on our third day there. He was sick for the rest of the holiday. And, of course, I got sick as well, but not until the day before we were due to come home. It was awful.

The hotel we stayed in was lovely, and the weather was fantastic, but the food was to die for, and we almost did !!! We have been to Cuba six times, and this is the first time that I can honestly say the food was terrible. Everything was either under cooked or over cooked, and none of it looked the least bit appetizing. Usually there is a lot of fruit and vegetables, but we found this time, that there was only grapefruit / bananas / papaya / mango and that was it for fruit, and very little ingredients for a salad. No lettuce and only squashed tomatoes, so that was also not appealing.

Anyway, we are back safe and sound, and delighted to be home.

We leave for England on April 27th, and we are planning a week in Greece, while we are there. We are attending Dave&#039;s nephew&#039;s wedding in Cambridge, and we return home on May 15th, so hopefully we will have better luck with this trip.

The weather here has been fantastic, we have just about lost all our snow and are experiencing + degress (up to 10, some days), and very, very sunny. Can&#039;t be bad eh !!!

Love to you both, and hope to see you soon. I think it is about time you visited your birth place again - - give it some thought.

Love and best wishes.

Stay safe.
