I recently purchased a trip computer for my bike rides. it is about one and a half inches or five centimeters square, and one centimeter thick. You reset it at the beginning of each trip. It gives a read-out of the bike’s speed, the time of day, the amount of time your trip took. It also gives average speed, maximum speed and the distance travelled per trip. As a bonus it keeps track of the total distance and the total hours accumulated by the bike from the time of instillation. Cool!! We are now averaging twenty kilometers per bike trip.
Below are some more pictures taken while we were out and about on the bikes.

Hi Kathy and Paul,
I love to see the pictures. It is amazing to see not only the differences in the country but the similarities as well. Just can’t imagine biking for 20 km.! I haven’t been on a bike for over 50 years!
Judy
HI
I also couldn’t imagine being on a bike for 20 kms. Are you going to continue your riding when you come home ??
You are not missing much here at the moment. The ground is so dry the field across the street is blowing sand again.!!!!! They are talking about rain in the next few days…we can only hope !!!
Roz
Hi Judy,
Hope things are going well with you.
If you had told me a year ago I’d be in Beijing riding a bike I would have said “You’re crazy!” It only goes to show life is what happens when you’re planning something else!
You must be on a daily countdown now to retirement. Exciting!!!!
Hi Roz,
Always great to hear from you.
Yes we do intend to keep up the bike-riding when we get back home. Maybe we’ll even get Angela and Hayden to join us, and maybe even some neighbours!
By the way I took your advice about making a book. I made a photo book of Dahlia and gave a copy to Paul and Ling and they loved it!! Thanks for the tip.
