Hi
I love reading your blog. I can’t wait to get home from work to see if you have posted anything .
There is not much going on here at all. The deer and turkeys are everywhere ( as usual) I can’t get over our weather. It is warmer now than in mid summer. Our air cond. is coming on in the afternoon. ( I know this won’t last and the snow will be falling before long)
Happy Teachers Day

Hi,
Wow! This sounds so exciting and I’m sure a little scary at times. It sounds like teachers are very respected. Just some questions. Do you have to do duty at school? How many recess breaks do you get? What is the playground like? Staff meetings? School here is very typical. Hectic, large classes in the junior grades and lots to do before the end of Sept.
Take care, Judy
Are you starting to get use to your new life in China yet? Looking forward to your new post!!
Hi Judy,
Great to hear from you. No I don’t do any duty. School starts at 8:00 and I teach from 8:00 to 8:40. Every class is 40 minutes and after the first class there are opening exercises with which I’m not involved.Whenever I’m not teaching is a prep time for me. Some days are better than others. Friday I only teach three classes – my best day. There are many different places the students can play or have gym – again I’m not involved. All I do is teach English to eight different groups three times a week – about 16 hours in all.
I’ve only been to one meeting so far which was to let me know what I’m teaching. I seem to be told things on a need to know basis.
